Support The Cities Volunteer Opportunities
Live & Love has become partners with Support The Cities in Minneapolis. Here you will find ways to volunteer, donate food and donate funds. Below are 2 locations where you can volunteer and donate. I have organized a drop off site at Equation on 50th & France (5045 France Ave S) . I will personally be picking up from this location and delivering the donations to the below sites. WAYS TO VOLUNTEER/DONATE JUNE 22-27, 2020
MINNEAPOLIS SITE:
Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (2600 East 38th St, Minneapolis, MN 55406) will be a drop-off and pick-up site every weekday.

FOOD AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS NEEDED

-No glass bottles
-If possible, bring donations in reusable bags or in doubled grocery bags (helpful for people carrying food home on foot);
-Only frozen meat
-Please, no Pork
-No expired/opened items

ST. PAUL LOCATION:
Both volunteers and donations are needed. This is a recurring event for Food and Essential Supply Drop-Off and Pick-Up from 10am-2pm Monday-Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday at 712 Burr Street, Saint Paul, MN 55130.

If all sign-up slots are filled but you would still like to participate, please reply "interested" and you will be notified if there are additional needs.
Volunteers:
-Please bring and wear a face mask while volunteering.
-Please practice social distancing throughout your shift.
Donations:
-Please bring donations to the garage at the church.
-No clothing
-No opened or expired items;
-No items in glass/breakable containers;
-Please sort items prior to drop-off: put like items together (all bread together, all diapers together)
-When possible, please bring donations in sturdy reusable grocery bags. People may be walking home with their groceries and would be helped by having sturdy bags to carry their items;
Please do not donate heavy/oversized items or packages--these may be difficult to transport on foot.
