March in the Twin Cities

March 1

I can’t believe it’s already March! Where have the past two months gone?! Well, now that It’s finally spring(ish) time, I’m excited that warmer weather, blooming flowers and spring break are just around the corner.

In the meantime, there are some Spring-inspired events to look out for this weekend:

Minneapolis Home and Garden Show

It seems like there is a convention almost every weekend, but as long as there is snow outside, I love to do activities indoors (especially when I get to shop around). This weekend the Convention Center is hosting the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show. I highly suggest this for all you green-thumbs or those who constantly have HGTV streaming in their home (me!). There is a full schedule of events for this weekend, but the highlights include seeing Clint Harp of DIY Network's Wood Work and Kate Smith who will be speaking about all things paint.

Pro tip: If you buy your tickets online, you can save $2 on an adult ticket, making it $12 each.

Food & Wine Experience

I LOVE Target Field. I feel like it’s the coolest stadium ever… I’m sure you probably agree. Anyways, I mention it because this weekend is the Monthly Minnesota Food & Wine Experience hosted at Target Field. This is more expensive than the Home & Garden Show with tickets selling for $90-125, but what you get in return is access to local mixologists crafting up specialty drinks. There will also be beer, wine, spirits and snacks to enjoy as well. The event is from 1 - 5 pm, so if you do go make sure to grab some lunch beforehan, perhaps Pizza Luce?

That’s all for this weekend, but happy March everybody! I can’t wait to see what this month has in store, I know it will be great!
